How old do I have to be to start the BDE course?

You can start the Beginner Driver Education course as soon as you hold a valid Ontario G1 licence, which you can earn at age 16 after passing the written knowledge test at any DriveTest centre (Kitchener’s is on Ottawa Street North). There is no upper age limit. We regularly teach adult learners and newcomers to Canada. If you don’t have your G1 yet, we can recommend free study resources to help you pass on your first try, then enrol you once you do.
