BDE Essentials + a car for your G2 road test
After payment is confirmed, we'll help you access the BDE learning platform. Complete the online instruction and assigned homelink work at your own pace before starting in-car training.
Pick up and drop-off are free anywhere in Kitchener and Waterloo. We work around school, jobs, and parent schedules. Lessons run as 1- or 2-hour blocks depending on what you prefer.
Once you successfully complete all course requirements, we report your completion to the MTO. This makes you eligible to take your G2 road test eight months after obtaining your G1, instead of twelve.
Book your G2 road test with DriveTest. If you chose BDE Complete, you take it in our car. Ask your insurer whether BDE completion qualifies you for a discount and which proof of completion they require.
A Beginner Driver Education course is an MTO-approved 40-hour program: 20 hours of online or classroom instruction, 10 hours of flexible learning such as homelink, and at least 10 hours of in-car lessons. Successful completion can reduce your G2 waiting period by four months. Insurance discounts depend on your insurer and policy.
